Summerland is a town on the west side of Okanagan Lake. Take in 360-degree views at the summit of Giant's Head Mountain, an extinct volcano, that dominates the skyline with a backdrop of rolling plateaus and major valley systems of the Okanagan, Thompson and Nicola rivers.  Summerland has become home to several world-renowned wineries and fantastic fruit orchards. Travel down famous "Bottleneck drive" to some of the best wineries in the Okanagan Valley. Art lovers flock to the area to see the incredible work of Summerland painters and artisans at the Summerland Arts Centre & Gallery and more than 40 private studios and galleries. Okanagan Lake provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, camping, kayaking, boating and water skiing, or laze about on sun-drenched beaches. Summerland offers an abundance of golfing, hiking and cycling options as well. Hike into the past on two historic routes, the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail and the Brigade Trail. Many of these same trails are wonderful for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter. Learn more about Summerland and all it has to offer.
